Diy Conservatories Help & Advice

Position of your conservatory

Normally conservatories are built to the rear or side of the property; once you have established where you wish to build it, check for boiler terminals, gullies and inspections chambers to ensure your conservatory does not hinder any of these.
Mark out the foot print of the conservatory with pegs and a string line so you can then visualize the conservatory in position.
To imagine how the conservatory will work put some garden chairs and table within the marked out area and you determine where the French doors will go and the height of the base wall.
Designing your conservatory is great fun you may even have a meeting with your local authority regarding planning but don’t worry you will find them very helpful.

Ground works

This covers reduction of ground levels, excavation of foundations, casting of foundations, and drainage works. This item envolves a lot of hard word so plan ahead.first agree where to place the skip and if you are going to place it on the road ensure you obtain a permet from the local authority first and some flashing warning lights and cones.
